Colca Canyon - Puno - Cusco

12 days and 11 nights

Day 01: Arrival to the city of Arequipa

Transfer from the airport to the hotel. City Tour, in the evening we will have a welcome dinner.

Day 02: Arequipa - Chivay

We leave Arequipa early in the morning, the route to use depends on the chosen tour.

On the off road tour we will pass between the Misti and Chachani volcanoes, through the nature reserve Salinas Aguada Blanca, continue through Pampa Cañahuas, Colca window which is the source of the canyon, through the villages of Callalli, Sibayo, Tuti, Canocota, entrance to Chivay by the Inca bridge, in Chivay we will have lunch. At night we can enjoy the hot springs of the canyon.
On the on road tour we will take the paved road via Yura, passing through part of the nature reserve Salinas Aguada Blanca, Vizcachani, entrance to Chivay, lunch. At night we can enjoy the hot springs of the canyon.

We will rest in the town of Yanque.

Day 03: Visit Cruz del Condor, left bank of the canyon

We will wake up very early to appreciate the flight of the condor, from the viewpoint Cruz del Condor, located 42 km from Chivay, on the left bank of the canyon, then we will continue to the towns of Cabanaconde and Tapay. On the way back we will pass through the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque, where there are also majestic churches.

Day 04: Chivay - Puno

We leave Chivay to Puno, passing through the town of Imata, where we can appreciate the stone forest.

On the off road tour we will take an old dirt road that borders beautiful lagoons called Lagunillas and arrive directly to Puno.
On the on road tour we will take the new asphalt road and passing through Santa Lucia and Juliaca we will arrive to Puno.

Day 05: Puno - Visit to the floating islands

This day we can take advantage of visiting Lake Titicaca in a full day, the highest navigable lake in the world, we will have a wonderful adventure. Visiting the artificial floating islands made of cane and then the natural islands of Taquile or Amantani where we will have lunch.

Day 06: Puno - Lake Tour - Puno

We will make a motorcycle ride around Lake Titicaca, we will visit the peninsula of Capachica, Pusi; in the afternoon we can visit the Chullpas of Sillustani, which were tombs of the Hatuncollas chiefs (big men), or alternatively we can visit the southwest part of the lake: Chucuito.

Day 07: Puno - Sicuani

Early departure to Sicuani passing through the villages of Lampa, Pucara, the amazing Tinajani Canyon and the forest of Puyas de Raymondi, this day we can have lunch in Ayaviri the typical dish of the area “kankacho” which is lamb meat cooked underground. Finally we will rest in the tourist hotel in Sicuani.

Day 08: Sicuani - Pisac (140 Km.)

We will have breakfast in Sicuani to leave to the Sacred Valley of Cusco, on the way we will take a detour to visit the mountain of 7 colors, we will sleep in the charming town of Pisac.

Day 09: Pisac - Ollantaytambo (60Km.)

We will leave the town of Pisac to go up to the ruins of Pisac, then we will cross the sacred valley to reach the ruins of Ollantaytambo. In both ruins we will hike for about 1 hour. We will sleep in the town of Ollantaytambo.

Day 10: Machu Picchu

You will board an early morning train to the town of Machu Picchu, where you will wait for a bus to go up to the ruins, finishing your tour you can spend time in the village and maybe have lunch to return to Ollantaytambo in the evening.

Day 11: Ollantaytambo - Maras - Chinchero - Cusco (70Km.)

This will be our last day of biking, we will know places and appreciate landscapes that will remain engraved in your memory for life, we will have visits and walks through the great salt flat of Maras and the archaeological center of Inka agriculture. We will sleep in the city of Cusco.

Day 12: City Tour - Qoricancha - Transfer to the Airport

On our last day of the tour we will offer you a tour of the main attraction of the city of Cusco; “The Temple of the Sun Qoricancha”, to finally transfer you to the airport for your return.
