3 days and 2 nights

Day 01: Arequipa - Chivay

We leave Arequipa early in the morning, the route to use depends on the chosen tour.

On the off road tour we will pass between the Misti and Chachani volcanoes, through the natural reserve Salinas Aguada Blanca we continue through Pampa Cañahuas, Colca window which is the source of the canyon, through the villages of Callalli, Sibayo, Tuti, Canocota, entrance to Chivay by the Inca bridge, in Chivay we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will visit some villages on the right bank of the canyon: Coporaque, Ichupampa, we will see the majestic churches. At night we can enjoy the hot springs of the canyon.
On the on road tour we will take the paved road via Yura, passing through part of the nature reserve Salinas Aguada Blanca, Vizcachani, entrance to Chivay, we will have lunch and in the afternoon we will visit some villages on the right bank of the canyon: Coporaque, Ichupampa, we will see the majestic churches. At night we can enjoy the hot springs of the canyon.

Day 02: Visit Cruz del Condor, left bank of the Canyon

We will wake up very early to appreciate the flight of the condor, from the viewpoint Cruz del Condor, located 42 km from Chivay, on the left bank of the canyon, then we will continue to the villages of Cabanaconde and Tapay. On the way back we will pass through the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque, where there are also majestic churches.

Day 03: Hike through the canyon, Lari and Madrigal, return to Arequipa

Early in the morning we can take a walk to appreciate the suspension bridge that joins Coporaque with Yanque, we will visit the villages of Lari and Madrigal located on the right bank of the canyon, then we will return to Arequipa.

We will return from Chivay to Arequipa by two different routes:

On the off road tour we will pass between the snow-capped mountains Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca, then we will pass through the town of Huanca.
On the on road tour we will take the asphalt road back.
